This week students will learn about the the Bill of Rights including the Constitution.
Students must complete a worksheet labeled Citizenship and the Constitution. They must read the worksheet and answer the questions on a separate sheet of paper.
Students must study the KEY CONCEPT PACKET for the Civics part of the Leap (35%) everyday. They must also study the packet for the test on Thursday. This test will be LEAP style. The study guide is attached to the email.
Students must study the three branches of government in the NOTE SECTION of their IAs to study for the quiz Friday.
The Edmentum and Discovery Education apps have been updated on your child’s clever accounts. The new assignment on the edmentum is called Civics, while the video on the Discovery Education deals with the Amendments. Students may use this as enrichment and/or for extra credit. Tutorials should be done before the test is completed.
Students should use the program Edmentum, Discovery Education and Typing programs on the website Clever.com.
Parents may download the Twelve powerful words and the RACE writing strategy if you like at the bottom of the webpage.
Edmentum. ALL Students have been introduced to this program. PARENTS, if you are not a part of my homework email message list, please send me a message via email and I will place you in the group, that you may know exactly what homework your child has and when.
Typing.Com – students should use this program to develop their typing skills. The LEAP/ILEAP will be online this year for all subjects. Students must be able to type their essays/extended response in a efficient manner.
