Due to operational challenges, and in consideration of the safety of our students, families, staff, and the entire school community, all Jefferson Parish Schools and our central offices will be closed on Friday, September 13, 2024.
We are working diligently to address the operational challenges related to this hurricane. These challenges include:
Continued, or intermittent, power outages at a significant number of schools,
food spoilage at many of our schools,
water Intrusion,
roof, facility, and other storm related damages.
We understand the challenges this may present, and we appreciate your patience as we work to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
We will resume with our regularly scheduled professional development day on Monday, September 16, and students will return on Tuesday, September 17.
