Academics

Schedules for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students are comprised of eight periods with classes in the following core curriculum disciplines:

• English/Reading
• Math
• Science
• Social Studies
• Physical Education

We are proud to offer fully certified staff for Algebra I and English I honors students. Additionally, 6th and 7th grade students can also be part of the honors program with certified educators. 

The following core curriculum disciplines are also available for students who qualify and are classified for these programs:

• Gifted
• Special Education

The following electives are available to broaden student experiences and to meet individual needs:

• Instrumental Music (Band) 
• Talented Art
• Talented Music
• Talented Theater

GRADING POLICY

The statewide uniform grading policy is in effect in grades 6th - 8th this year. The scale is as follows:

• A = 93 – 100
• B = 85 – 92
• C = 75 – 84
• D = 67 – 74
• F = 0 – 66
